Story & Plot:
The story is about Vangaveeti Radha(Sandy) and gang wars of Vijayawada in 1970s and 1980s. Vangaveeti Radha(Sandy) is a rowdy who becomes huge in Vijayawada with the help of Chalasani Venkata Ratnam.
Radha kills Venkataratnam due to the differences developed between them and becomes the king of Vijayawada. Soon, Venkataratnam’s men kill Radha. Ranga, Radha’s brother takes over the gang. Ranga’s men kill Gandhi because of a small rift between them. And this leads to gang rivalry. Rest is how the revenge story ends.
Actor Sandeep, who played the roles of Radha and Ranga of is just astonishing. The way brutal murders are sketched is picturised in a stunning way. Interval bang and the killing of Devineni Murali have been showcased in a superb way.
Ram Gopal Varma did not portray the negative side of Radha, Vangaveeti Ranga, and Devineni Nehru. He just picturised the series of planned brutal murders without presenting then society and core issues. All those who do not know about the history of these gang wars in Vijayawada will find the film quite routine as the film has only a revenge drama of killing each other.
Sandeep in the male lead role acted as both Vangaveeti Radha and Ranga is astonishing in his looks and performance. The guy who acted as Devineni Nehru is also a good fit for the role. Naina Ganguly is just okay as Ratna Kumari. Shritej(Nehru) and Kautilya(Gandhi) did well. Vamsi did a good job as Devineni Murali.
One Liner: Gripping first half, nice interval bang, good cast but the slow narration and low production quality and routine revenge story.
